Kumba’s non-financial reporting is currently
limited to southern African operations. It does not include
the heavy minerals operations of Ticor Limited in Australia
nor the base metals operations of Chifeng Zinc Smelter
in China. Reporting is in English only, given that this
language accommodates the majority of Kumba’s stakeholders. |

In October 2005, Kumba announced that it will
be split into two companies: Kumba Iron Ore and Newco
(p16). Kumba’s approach
to sustainable development reporting is aligned with those adopted
by its major shareholder Anglo American plc. |
