4.   MINERAL RESOURCE AND RESERVES

Introduction

This section summarises the methods used by Kumba and Eyesizwe to derive and classify the Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve estimates for the Material Properties. It also presents SRK’s comments and opinions on the reasonableness of these estimates and presents Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve statements as appropriate.

In addition, this section sets out SRK’s view regarding the potential for proving up further Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves at the Material Properties. Detailed plans are available for inspection at various Company operating offices where they remain due to the fact that many are working plans required for the continual management of the respective operations.
