EXXARO, TOGETHER WITH GIBS, IS OFFERING BUSINESSES THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN AND GROW THROUGH A PRESTIGIOUS TRAINING PROGRAMME.

Exxaro has partnered with Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) to develop contractors in the mining value chain by offering this prestigious training programme. Qualifying criteria for the training programme:

Applicant must be a Black owned business with a 51%+ Black ownership, and must be an EME (i.e. latest annual turnover of less than R10 million) or QSE (i.e. latest annual turnover between R10 million and R50 million);

Applicant should be doing business with Exxaro or subcontracted by one of Exxaro’s suppliers on an Exxaro contract. Applicants who have received a Purchase Order from an Exxaro BU in the past twelve months will be considered;

Applicant must be willing to have a mentor assigned to their business;

Preference will be given to owner managers or management level employees for qualification for the programme;

The applicant’s business must be based in one of the local municipalities where Exxaro has operations;

Preference will be given to Exxaro suppliers who render strategic services i.e. services in the coal mining value chain at Exxaro mines;

The programme will be delivered mostly through electronic format therefore applicants must have access to a computer and reliable internet connectivity;

Applicant must have a matric certificate as a minimum qualification;

Applicants accepted on the programme will be required to put down a 10% refundable registration fee (R3,500) which will be paid back to the applicant upon completion of the programme;

None completion of the programme will render the registration fee non-refundable.
